Nourishing Rituals for Late Summer Transitions

I’ve realized that it’s been a few seasons since last shared a blog. Many cycles of life and death and rebirth have transpired..

How does this season find you?

This time of year pulls at me. As we near the heart of August, I’ve been feeling that late-summer call to tend to my body more intentionally—to build my inner stores before the pace of Autumn sets in. With school schedules and more structured daily routines inching closer, now feels like the moment to slow down the high-summer momentum, tend to my inner rhythms, and prepare for the seasonal shift ahead.

It’s a beautiful time to start cultivating simple and nourishing practices.
My love for Lymph Love and Nervous System Support is guiding so much of what I’m leaning into right now.

Here are a few things I’ve been weaving into my days—for hormonal tending, lymph-loving, and aligning with the natural flow of the nervous system:

  • Rising early to soak in the morning light – Letting the sun kiss my skin first thing helps anchor my day and supports my sleep later on. No screens until I’ve taken in the light with my eyes and body.

  • Starting the day with lime and salt – Hydrating with intention feels like a love note to my lymphatic system and digestion.

  • Daily self-breast massage – Just a few minutes of loving touch each morning keeps my lymph flowing and brings me back into my body.

  • Making the most of local farmers’ markets and our CSA – I’ve been filling my basket with vibrant Stone fruits, greens, and herbs—letting the local land guide what’s on my plate.

  • Creating space for quiet – I’ve been actively working to reduce screen time, especially after sunset. My goal right now: screens off by 8 p.m. (Work in progress!)

  • Moving gently outdoors – Beach yoga (join me Saturday and Sunday mornings!), quiet walks, and sitting outside in the evenings, listening to the cricket symphony. Movement has been pure medicine.

These small, steady rituals have been anchoring me into the rhythm of late summer—and I hope they spark something for you, too. This is such a tender, fertile time to nourish ourselves from the inside out.

And we continue...

With love,
Kate
