A Call for Prayer with the Wild Fires

The recent wildfires across the East have been so heartbreaking and humbling. Their damage is not concentrated but instead felt far and wide, between poor air quality and low visibility, aching hearts for Mother Earth, physical ailments.. Through these events, we are called to refocus our energies on the basic health of both our environment and body, to heal and to pray.

We invite you to recite this aloud if it resonates with you:

Prayer to Pachamama

Oh beautiful mother, the holy grail.

I thank you again with nothing but love.

Forgive me and help me forgive so that I will be of help

and enjoy fruitfulness, peace, health and prosperity.

Amen.

We also suggest these supportive methods for lung health, gut health and detox.

  • Vitamin C for high antioxidant potential and to help keep nasal passages clear by loosening any mucus or debris

  • Soothing and antimicrobial teas like mullein, fenugreek, thyme, peppermint and green

  • Consuming foods with higher levels of pectin (ex. apples, citrus, beets, broccoli sprouts, fermented foods) or liver supporting properties (ex. garlic, cilantro, dandelion)

  • Proper hydration! Adding lemon, electrolytes, working with structured water.. Intentionality is everything!

  • Including air purifying plants in your space, such as aloe vera, queen fern, rubber tree, snake plant, spider plant, english ivy, and certain varieties of palm* to name a few. *Please be mindful that some plants are highly toxic to pets if consumed.

  • Air Purifiers for homes! Home air quality is essential! Our favorite is Air Doctor. They have a variety of sizes.

  • Intention, Prayer, Compassion and Love. All a medley of soul medicine.
