This is a self-massage technique that supports bringing circulation and fresh blood flow to your digestive organs, endocrine system as well as supporting urinary health.

It helps dissolve tension, stress and blockages in this area.

This massage brings awareness deep within the sacral, solar plexus and root centers.

Contraindications: IUD present, during pregnancy or if cancer is present in pelvis.

Duration: 5-10 minutes or as long as you need!

Technique: Create a soothing environment for you to practice this. This can feel deeply nourishing before bedtime!

Turn on soothing peaceful, light a candle and give yourself permission to receive this gift of sacred self-care.

Essential Oils that support sacral chakra health:

Bergamot, Cardamom, Clary Sage, Jasmine, Orange, Neroli, Patchouli, Rosemary, Sandalwood.

Lie down on your back and place a pillow under your head (you can also add a pillow or blanket under your knees). **If you have uterine prolapse, it may also be helpful to place a pillow under your hips to elevate your pelvis.

Place your oil in your palms and bring your hands together with index fingers side by side.

Tuck your thumbs over each other. Bring your hands over your pubic bone, inhale and exhale, gently and slowly move your fingertips towards the midline, adding a gentle pressure on your body. (all the way to your belly button).

Repeat 3-5 times.

Move your hands over towards the right side of your pelvis, inhale and exhale, gently and slowly move your fingertips towards the midline, adding a gentle pressure on your body. (all the way to your belly button).

Repeat 3-5 times.

Move your hands over towards the left side of your pelvis, inhale and exhale, gently and slowly move your fingertips towards the midline, adding a gentle pressure on your body. (all the way to your belly button).

Repeat 3-5 times.

Then, gently begin to make small circular clockwise movements as you massage across your lower belly, from hipbone to hipbone, traveling to the right side up and over to the left.

Repeat 3-5 times.

Place your fingertips in the middle of your upper abdomen on your ribcage. It may feel tender. From this point, you will feel a dip.

Take a breath in and breath out, and press as deep as it feels comfortable for you into your soft tissue space. Slowly move your fingertips down towards your belly button.

Repeat 3 times. (This supports digestive health).

Move your fingers just below your left ribcage. Take a breath in and as you breathe out, gently massage across diagonally across towards your belly button.

Repeat 3 times.

Repeat the same move across the right ribcage 3 times.

Then begin to move your palms and fingers in large circles all the way around your abdominal area. Work clockwise from the left side of your body across to the right and back over to the left.

Repeat 5 times.

When you have finished, gently place your hands on your lower belly in your ‘Yoni Mudra’ which looks like an upside down triangle. Bring your thumbs to touch each other, just above your belly button and fingers facing down towards your pubic bone. Your palms sit over your ovaries and the space in the center represents your uterus. Send a deep and nourishing breath down into your sacral center.
